We have started work on the Derby City Local Plan Part 2. Together with the Derby City Local Plan Part 1 - 2017 which was adopted in January 2017, this plan will set out where new development will be located and how new growth will be managed up to 2028. The Part 2 Plan is intended to provide more detailed policies to guide planning decisions, review the remaining saved policies and allocations of the City of Derby Local Plan Review (2006) and allocate further sites to ensure that our development needs are met.
As the first stage in preparing the Part 2 Plan, we have now published the Issues and Options consultation document and are seeking your views on a number of potential policy approaches.
The consultation will run from Wednesday 28th February and end at 5:00pm on Friday 13 April.
If you would like to talk to us about this consultation before sending in your comments, Planning Officers will be available at the Council House, Booth 30 between 9:30am and 3:30pm on the following dates:
Tuesday 6 March
Tuesday 13 March
Tuesday 20 March
Tuesday 27 March
Tuesday 3 April
Tuesday 10 April
Along with the Issues and Options consultation document we have produced an Evidence Base Paper which provides further background on a number of subjects.
Printed versions of all the documents and the comments form are also available for inspection at the Council House and local libraries during normal opening hours.
Completed forms can be returned by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to:
