Derby City Council is pleased to announce that preparations are underway for the 2021 Remembrance commemorations.

This year, the City's Annual Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade, on Sunday 14 November 2021, will take place on Corporation Street, with wreaths being laid at the War Memorial.

The Service will be led by The Very Revd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, during which a two-minute silence will be observed at 11.00am, after which wreaths will be laid. There will be designated areas where members of the public are able to view the proceedings, which will begin at 10.50am.

Organisations who wish to lay a wreath must contact Civic Services by 5.00pm on Friday 29 October 2021. Wreaths can be sourced via Lilly Clements at The Royal British Legion.

On Armistice Day (11 November 2021) there will also be an opportunity for members of the public to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in service. This will take place at 10.50am at the War Memorial.

For further information, or to discuss how you can be involved in this year's commemoration please contact Civic Services via email or telephone 01332 643066.
