Fleet organisations representing the users of millions of cars, vans and trucks came together with local policymakers to discuss air quality issues and proposals for a Derby Clean Air Zone (CAZ) on 15th February at Derby QUAD.
The round table meeting was jointly hosted by Derby City Council, the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) and the Energy Saving Trust. Also present were the Association of Car Fleet Operators, Fleet News and a number of national and regional fleet operators. Visit our newsroom to see the full story.
Meetings with other stakeholders are being organised over the next few months.
Government policy is still developing and we are waiting for further details on various aspects of the project, including the levels of charge, detailed timeframe for submitting the proposed access restriction and final version of the guidance . As and when further information is available we will update the web site.
Details on the provisional working options are available to view and we welcome your feedback. Any feedback we receive will help inform the process for developing the proposed access restriction scheme and any supporting measures. In addition the information will help us work with DEFRA to identify the most appropriate solution for Derby.
