Derby City Council (Castleward) (Moving Vehicle) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.63) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act"), the Road Traffic Act 1991 ("the 1991 Act"), the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part Ill of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act hereby proposes to make the above order.

The purpose of the order is to introduce:

Proposed One Way for Motor Vehicles on:

Carrington Street, from Trinity Street to Canal Street in an Easterly direction
Canal Street, from London Road to Carrington Street in a Northerly direction

The existing One Way for All Vehicles on Carrington Street between Canal Street and Trinity Street in a Westerly direction will be revoked.

Proposed Prohibition of Driving of Motor Vehicles (Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 9am and 3pm to 3:45pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)

Canal Street between London Road and Carrington Street

All existing Waiting Restrictions to remain.

A copy of the proposed order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the proposals, a copy of the authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing the order and the order being amended:

Objections to the proposals stating your grounds of objection should be sent, in writing, to Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place, Derby City Council, Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than 20th March 2025.
