The Mayor of Derby, Councillor Robin Wood invites you to join him for this year’s Civic Carol Service and embrace the magic of the festive period.

The 2021 Civic Carol Service will take place on Wednesday 8 December at Derby Cathedral, starting at 6.00pm. Along with members of the Cathedral team, the Derby Can Sing Gospel Choir will also be present, leading the congregation in a mix of traditional and modern carols.

The Mayor, Councillor Robin Wood said:

I am delighted that in-person festive events are able to return this year and look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to this year’s Civic Carol Service. The service is open to all and will be a fantastic evening, sure to put all in attendance well and truly into the festive mood. You can expect some Christmas classics, as well as a few surprises!

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance with Eventbrite. Festive drinks and mince pies will also be available at the end of the service.

There will be a retiring collection at the end of the service, with all funds raised going to the Mayor of Derby’s Charity Fund, which this year is supporting local charity, Disability Direct.
