The Council's statement on concerns about buildings that contain Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC)

A spokesperson for Derby City Council said:

The Council closely monitors the school buildings for which we are the responsible body. Following assessments completed by the Council for its maintained schools, our records indicate that we do not have school buildings that contain Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). We are, however, continuing to closely monitor the Department for Education’s latest guidance and information to Local Authorities, and we will continue to work closely with our schools.
