Derby City Council (Nottingham Road) (Speed) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No. 16) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act hereby proposes to make the above order.

The purpose of the order will be to introduce:

Revoke 40mph Speed Limit

Nottingham Road, revoke existing 40mph speed limit from its junction with Silverhill Road to its junction with Borrowash Road and will revert back to 30mph due to the presence of street lighting.
Derby Road, revoke existing 40mph speed limit from its junction with Borrowash Road to the existing 30mph extent outside St. Hugh’s Church and will revert back to 30mph due to the presence of street lighting.

A copy of the proposed order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the proposals, a copy of the authority’s Statement of Reasons:

Objections to the proposals stating your grounds of objection should be sent, in writing, to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place, Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than 4th July 2025.
