Proposed Bus Stop Improvements

Derby City Council (Proposed Bus stop improvements) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.151) Order 2025

Derby City Council has made this Traffic Regulation Order on 19th June 2025, which comes into effect on 23rd June 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.

The purpose of the order will be to introduce:

Proposed No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Buses) (Clearway Extent Only) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time)

  • Burton Road Inbound – Outside 310 Burton Road for approximately 13 metres
  • Burton Road Inbound – Outside 238 Burton Road for approximately 13 metres
  • Uttoxeter New Road Outbound – Opposite 266 Uttoxeter New Road for approximately 13 metres
  • Chellaston Road Inbound – Outside 238 Chellaston Road for approximately 6 metres
  • Uttoxeter New Road Outbound – Opposite the College Business Centre for approximately 7 metres

Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) to replace No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)

  • Burton Road Inbound – Outside 314 Burton Road for approximately 17 metres
  • Burton Road Inbound – Outside 274 Burton Road for approximately 31 metres
  • Uttoxeter New Road Outbound – Outside 235 Uttoxeter New Road for approximately 13 metres
  • Chellaston Road Inbound – Outside 244 Chellaston Road for approximately 10 metres
  • Uttoxeter New Road Outbound – Opposite 136 Uttoxeter New Road for approximately 7 metres

Proposed No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only) to replace No Waiting (At Any Time)

  • Kedleston Road Outbound – Opposite 298 Kedleston Road for approximately 11 meters
  • Shardlow Road Inbound – Outside 54A Shardlow Road for approximately 8 metres
  • Ashbourne Road Outbound – Outside 1 Sutton Close for approximately 4 metres

Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) to replace No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)

  • Kedleston Road Outbound – Opposite 308 Kedleston Road for approximately 29 metres 
  • Shardlow Road Inbound – Outside 56A Shardlow Road for approximately 8 metres
  • Ashbourne Road Outbound – Opposite the Royal School for Deaf for approximately 2 metres

A copy of the order and a copy of the authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the order:

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under them, may, within six weeks of the date of the order, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
