About Derby Market Hall
The Victorian Market Hall on Tenant Street is undergoing a major programme of repair and refurbishment works. The rejuvenated Market Hall will become a vibrant retail and leisure destination at the heart of the city centre, linking Derbion and St Peter’s Quarter to the Cathedral Quarter and Becketwell, increasing the diversity of the city centre economy.
The Market Hall will also play a vital role in creating a thriving cultural heart in the Market Place and surrounding area, including the Assembly Rooms site, as part of plans to encourage economic recovery and investor confidence in the city centre.
During the works, many Market Hall traders have relocated to the neighbouring Eagle Market, only a short walk from their original home. Why not pay them a visit and see the wide range of products and services on offer. They are easily recognisable by the Derby Market Hall signage and beautifully fitted out stalls. Bailey’s Fishmongers continues to trade from their longstanding location in the Lock up Yard.
