Renew a pleasure boat or vessel licence

A pleasure boat or vessel licence lasts for 4 years.

The licence holder is responsible for the renewal - no renewal notification will be sent.

If a licence lapses, the holder cannot operate, navigate or use a vessel until the relevant licence has been issued.

How to renew a licence

To renew a licence you must:

• submit a new application form
• supply the required supporting documents
• pay the renewal licence fee.

Please allow up to 10 working days for your renewal application to be processed. It is the responsibility of the licence holder to apply in plenty of time to renew the licence.
