Derby Market Hall is set to sizzle this summer with the launch of three special evening editions of the highly popular Derby Farmers’ Market.

Organised in collaboration with Derby Uncovered, the farmers markets have proved a firm favourite with shoppers since they launched in January.

The evening events will offer a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere filled with fresh seasonal produce, artisanal foods, and unique flavours that highlight the rich agricultural heritage of the region.

The special evening markets will take place on Friday 19 June, Friday 17 July, and Friday 21 August, running from 3pm until 9pm.

While visiting the market, shoppers can head to the Market Hall’s permanent traders while grabbing a meal or a Friday night tipple.

The regular Farmers’ Markets will also continue throughout the summer, on Sunday 28 June, Sunday 26 July and Sunday 30 August.

Councillor Gurkiran Kaur, Derby City Council Cabinet Member for City Centre, Culture and Tourism, said:

Derby Farmers’ Market has been incredibly popular since it started in January, and summer evening markets add an extra dimension to what the Market Hall already offers.

By bringing together local traders, fresh food, and live music into the evening, it creates a great, relaxed space for people to wind down after work or meet up with friends. It’s a wonderful way to showcase local produce and will add a real buzz to the city centre during the summer months.
