Purpose of data collection
The Special Educational Need Sufficiency, Partnerships and Compliance Learning Inclusion & Skills Department collect data to be able to provide support to children with learning difficulties or disabilities.

- Contact details (name, address, phone, email)
- Date of birth and gender
- Educational information and Special educational needs or disabilities
- Health information (where relevant for support)
How data is used
- To provide appropriate learning opportunities
- To ensure safeguarding and learner welfare
- To comply with funding and statutory requirements
- For course administration and learner support
- Offer family support
- Provide updates to keep you informed
- Monitoring equality and diversity
Sharing of data
- Shared with other council departments (Children and Young People’s Social care)
- Shared with Schools and health care professionals.
- Shared only with authorised partners

Your rights
- Access: You can ask for copies of your personal information held by the Council.
- Rectification: You can request corrections to any incorrect information.
- Deletion: You can ask for your personal information to be deleted, unless there's a legal reason to keep it.
- Portability: You can request your personal data to be transferred to other services or directly to you.
- Object/Restrict Processing: You can object to or limit how your data is used now and in the future.
- Prevent Automatic Decisions: You can challenge decisions made automatically without human involvement.
