Castleward

Derby City Council (Castleward) (Moving Vehicle Restrictions) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule (No.63) Order 2023

DERBY CITY COUNCIL made this Traffic Regulation Order on the 25th day of September 2025, which will become effective from the 29th day of September 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of schedule 9 to the 1984 Act.

The purpose of the order is to bring into effect the following:

Proposed One Way for Motor Vehicles

  • Carrington Street, from Trinity Street to Canal Street in an Easterly direction
  • Canal Street, from London Road to Carrington Street in a Northerly direction

The Existing One Way for All Vehicles

  • Carrington Street between Canal Street and Trinity Street in a Westerly direction will be revoked.

Proposed Prohibition of Driving of Motor Vehicles (Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 9am and 3pm to 3:45pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)    

  • Canal Street between London Road and Carrington Street  

All existing Waiting Restrictions to remain.

  • Statement of Reasons - Castleward
  • M25 (Rev 1) On Deposit - Castleward
  • M26 (Rev 1) On Deposit - Castleward
  • TM T28 - Castleward

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
