Registering to vote
Members of the UK Armed Forces and their spouse or civil partner can register as service voters.
Registration lasts up to five years, and you’ll get a reminder when it’s time to renew. If you do not renew your registration, you’ll be removed from the register and will need to register to vote again. To apply to become service voters, visit the GOV.UK website/Register to vote armed forces.
Service voters overseas should consider a proxy vote. For more information about proxy voting, visit the GOV.UK website/Apply for a proxy vote.
Derby City Council’s Elections team can also provide assistance and can be contacted by emailing elections@derby.gov.uk or calling 01332 640837.
