Registration - copy certificates

If you live inside the UK

If the event happened within the city of Derby boundary and you live in the UK, the easiest way to apply for a copy certificate is online.

Certificates:

• cost £12.50
• can be posted 2nd class or collected from The Registry Office, Riverside Chambers, Full Street, Derby, DE1 3AF after five working days.

You can also apply by telephone, Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm.

Please note, there are no facilities for copy certificates to be ordered in person at The Registry Office.

If the record is not held by the Derby Office, please contact the register office where the event occurred.

If you live outside the UK

If you need a copy certificate and live outside of the UK, please order a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate through the GOV.UK website.
