Corporate Asset Management Plan

Clock tower The Corporate Asset Management Plan (CAMP) sets out our plan for our property assets from 2011 to 2014. The plan helps us to see where our priorities lie, improve service delivery and be more financially efficient. We produce this document around our corporate goals and objectives and update it every three years.

What are the benefits of having a Corporate Asset Management Plan?

Some of the benefits we recognise as a result of a strong asset management
plan include:

  • increased pride of citizens
  • potential increase in funds for investment
  • empowerment of communities
  • cost reduction
  • closer link between asset management and objectives.

Asset management will help us to deliver the vision and priorities of our Community Strategy, the Local Area Agreement and the Local Development Framework.

What is considered when producing the plan?

Things which impact our CAMP include:

  • the Localism Bill
  • the Big Society
  • climate change targets
  • fundamental changes in the education and health sectors.

We take the following into consideration when considering our asset portfolio:

  • Derby's demographic profile
  • our priorities and targets
  • the impact of changes in the economic landscape
  • the implications for the 'Big Society' on how we deliver services.
