Adult seat belt on a child’s body

Video transcript

For the adult seatbelt to preform correctly in the event of an accident, the lap belt section must be positioned across the lap pelvic area and not allowed to run across the child’s stomach where the delicate internal organs are positioned. The diagonal seat belt also needs to run along the centre of the chest and the side of the shoulder, ensuring that it is away from the neck and throat area.
